Maifest - May 9 - 11 - Celebrate spring in Bavaria! Leavenworth rolls out the red carpet for spring with this old-fashioned annual celebration. Beautiful flowers spill from hanging baskets to set the mood, along with peppy oompa music and strolling accordion serenades. Everyone - local dignitaries, townspeople and visitors - joins in the Grand March, and delightful Bavarian dances are performed around the traditionally decorated Maipole.
