Leavenworth Washington was formerly a dying railroad and lumber town in Central Washington State in the eastern foothills of the Cascade Mountains. With a rich pioneering History and spirit, the business owners decided in the 1960's to convert the town to a Bavarian Village theme based on one thing - the natural beauty of our surroundings. The Pacific Northwest has so much to offer the outdoor enthusiast and vacationer, and our location gives us the best of two worlds - the rugged beauty and recreation possibilities of the Cascades, and the dry sunshine of Eastern Washington. Leavenworth is a premier family vacation destination for everything from holidays to getaways, with many activities and festivals scheduled throughout the year. See our Leavenworth, Events, Activities and Attractions pages. In Leavenworth you have many choices for your Washington vacation, from rest and relaxation, shopping and tourism to skiing, whitewater rafting and mountain biking or climbing. No matter what you choose, you'll be doing it in one of most beautiful areas you can find! |
